The system assembles the heads of the pneumatic cylinders by caulking.
Such is applied in a parallel lathe and consists of the following units:
– a 3-jaw chuck with automatic closing
– a tailstock with self-closing spindle, with a pneumatic system for pushing the spindle against the opposite one
– 2 automatic groups for the execution of the caulking, complete with decimal registers
– a mechanical system of offset axis of the pair of the two wheels, of about 0.5 mm adjustable
– a retractable support to support the cylinder to be machined, automatically moved
– 2 pneumatic groups for the alignment of the cylinder heads, with reference to the air connections of the same
– an optical transducer with travel from 0 to 1200 mm with absolute zero, complete with centesimal display
– an electro-pneumatic control for activating the spindle start lever
– an automatic lubrication system for crimping wheels
– an electric control panel for the management of the work cycle
The operator inserts the head complete with rod and sleeve into the drive spindle, keeping it resting on the appropriate support, then presses the BLACK button once to command the descent of the relative cylinder head alignment unit, and a second time the BLACK button for closing the pneumatic mandrel and for raising the cylinder head alignment unit.
He then inserts the rear element of the cylinder into the spindle of the tailstock and then presses the BLACK button a third time to command the descent of the relative alignment group of the rear element of the cylinder. Then he presses the BLACK button a fourth time to close the pneumatic mandrel and to raise the alignment group of the rear element of the cylinder; he presses the START button to execute the work cycle; at the end the machine stops by itself to allow the operator to remove the machined cylinder.
